Just received a google alert from the past- more than three years ago, to be precise.  It was our original "casting call" looking for gamers all those years ago!  Wow, it's crazy to think how much was up in the air at that point.  We'd all devoted ourselves full-time to Second Skin and still had no subjects, no stories, and only a bunch of interviews with academic.  Scary, thrilling times, they were.

In October of this year Peter and I went to New England. Watch our afternoon with Ralph Baer, great-grandfather of the modern video game. Working for Milton-Bradley he helped develop the technology that gave us Pong, and, by proxy, every other super-wonky and still-fun early video game you can think of. This pioneer of 2-bit technology and recipient of the National Medal of Technology recounts the Cretaceous period of gaming. Back then, you had a few crude shapes rendered in black and white, and that was good enough!

We are thrilled to announce that Second Skin will be playing on Current TV in the United Kingdom November 23rd at 10pm.  This is our first TV airing, and we couldn't be more excited.  I hope people will tune in and twitter with us.

This is a bit old now, but it's what we were using for previews in the small theater run we had in August. Second Skin takes an intimate look at three sets of computer gamers whose lives have been transformed by online virtual worlds. An emerging genre of computer software called Massively Multiplayer Online games, or MMOs, allows millions of users to interact simultaneously in virtual spaces. Of the 50 million players worldwide, 50 percent consider themselves addicted.
